P2 6.15 kick off

Dollymount took the lead after 12 mins, when Gar Redmond sent in a looping ball into the near post. The keeper held it for 2 seconds and then droppped the ball into the net. 3 minutes later Ailesbury got a free on the 1/2 way line, the ball was just hoofed into the box where an Ailesbury player on his own 6 yards from goal let the ball hit knee & it rolled in. Another 4minutes gone and Mark Philips takes down a player in the box, a penalty, the penalty taker gave James Tracy (standing in for the regular keeper Gavin "Jez" Rainsford) no chance, 2-1 Ailesbury. Dollymount played the best football through out the first half but missed the few chances created. The 2nd half had just begun, Ailesbury scored  3-1, again slack marking.
Conor Tom and Mark all worked hard in the midfield and at times Dollymount played good passing football.
Players letting their tempers get the better of them, didn't help the Dollymount cause.

If you get the sent off, you are making it nearly impossible for the team to win a match. It encourages other team members to fight among themselves and with the opposition, which as you all know disrupts the team preformance.
Players getting sent off or even booked are giving Dollymount FC a bad name, as the name of the club is coming up in the UCFL for the wrong reasons.
Also any player who gets sent off has to pay his own fine and cannot play until the fine is paid. The club does not have the money to pay for players misconduct.

Dollymount 3V1 Claremont rangers
Hazel, Shane(p), Quinner
p31 p.Dunne 2.30
1st team had a very good win today.  Hazel scored a very brave header at the far post competing with a defender & the keeper, from a cross by Shane on the left. Things were looking bad when their foreward broke free and Jamie had no option but to handle outside the box . Dollymount then gave away a silly penalty, which made it 1-1 1/2 time. So 10 man Dollymount fought hard in the second with a penalty by Shane and a clincher by sub Niall Quinn who had played for the 2nds earlier.

Dolllymount2nds took the lead in the 15th minute. Conor got an injury to his head & from the freekick on the 1/2 way line, Quinner soared above all to head over the keeper. 16and17 mins 2 offside goals gave Grosvenor the lead. Into the 2nd half  and 3-1 down, Dollymount get another free on the 1/2 way taken by DOC, this rime as Quinner tried to rise, he was dragged to the ground, a penalty's given. DOC slot the ball into bottom corner. It looked like Dollymount would get back into the game but a bit of slack markng and Dollymount were 5-2 down. Conor scored the third. In a crowded box and 3 players and keeper between  him and the goal, Conor delicately flicked the ball over them into top corner.

Dollymount 1st are idle
After a shakey 1st half Dollymount came back from a goal down to win 2-1.
Second half was a much better preformance with DOC scoring from the penalty spot after Johnner was dragged to the ground by 2 defenders. Aido scored with a diving header from a corner.
The star preformers for Dollymount were on the left Fion Daly & Mark Philips, both worked tirelessly for the team. Jez made a couple of excellent saves, one from 2 metres with a very strong right hand, he also saved a penalty but their taker scored from the rebound. Glenn was harshly penalised when " their striker dived at my feet" (Quote by Glenn)
